Hyundai IONIQ Electric appointed “Car of the Year” 2017 in Sweden

- IONIQ Electric has been appointed the prestigious Teknikens Världs Stora Bilpris 2017 in Sweden.
- IONIQ has already received multiple awards, including the “Car of the Year” titles in Norway and France, 2016 Red Dot Design Award, GOOD DESIGN® Award 2015 and 2016 as well as a maximum five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.

21 December 2016 - The All-New #hyundai #ioniqelectric has been awarded the prestigious Swedish Teknikens Världs Stora Bilpris 2017.
With the IONIQ #hyundai Motor is democratising electric mobility offering world’s first car which offers customers the choice between three electrified powertrain models: hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid.
Winning the Teknikens Världs Stora Bilpris 2017 is another proof of #hyundai Motor’s capabilities as a manufacturer of eco-friendly vehicles. The IONIQ is the best-value eco-car in Europe, offering the best warranty, a great driving range and comprehensive equipment at a very competitive price – all with no compromise on design, driving pleasure or new connectivity features.

The overall verdict of Teknikens Världs: “This is an electric car for the people”.
Since its introduction, the IONIQ has already received multiple awards, including the “Car of the Year 2017” award by Dinside in Norway, “Car of the Year” in the Compact Car category at the 2017 Trophées Argus, 2016 Red Dot Design Award, as well as the GOOD DESIGN® Award 2015 and 2016.
The IONIQ also achieved a maximum five-star safety rating from the independent vehicle assessment organisation Euro NCAP. In the test the IONIQ proved it is one of the safest cars in its segment, achieving top marks in all four categories: Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Pedestrian and Safety Assist. When announcing the best rated cars in 2016, Euro NCAP moreover appointed the IONIQ Best in Class Car of 2016 in the ‘Small Family Car’ category.
