Gamesa in Mexico

Ever since it began to do business in Mexico back in 1999, Gamesa has been very active in its capacity as OEM, having installed over 1,700 MW, and as wind farm developer, with a sizeable pipeline at various stages of development. Gamesa, the number one OEM in this market, has recently announced its plans to build a wind tower factory through Windar Renovables, the joint venture with the Daniel Alonso Group. The centre will be located in the state of Tamaulipas and will have annual manufacturing capacity of 500 MW. The construction work is scheduled to begin in December and the factory should be up and running by the end of 2016.
