Solaris in Wroclaw again

Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. has just begun delivering 17 modern low-floor city buses for the carrier DLA (Lower Silesian Bus Lines) from Wroclaw. Four #solaris Urbino 12 and thirteen vehicles with a length of 10,5 meters will soon be seen on the streets of the capital of the Lower Silesia Voivodship.

According to the agreement signed in May this year, four 12-meter MAXI class buses and six #solaris Urbino 10,5 buses will be delivered first from the Poznan factory. The remaining 6 pieces of shorter vehicles will be collected by DLA at the beginning of October.

All vehicles will be equipped with dynamic 186 kW engines meeting the stringent Euro VI D emission standards and equipped with an energy recuperation system that will reduce fuel consumption. In addition, they will feature a "cold start" function that facilitates starting at temperatures reaching -20 degrees Celsius. The carrier will allocate new buses partly for the service on the city lines in Wroclaw and transportation between the city and towns in the Miękinia commune.

The low-floor #solaris vehicles ordered by Lower Silesian Bus Lines will be equipped with many amenities for travelers. They will feature, among others efficient air conditioning system, passenger information system with voice announcement of stops and USB sockets for charging mobile devices. The 12-meter version will provide a ride for at least 80 passengers, including 29 in seating positions. In turn, #solaris Urbino 10,5 can accommodate mora than 65 passengers at a time, 24 of them will be able to travel seated. A manufacturer from Bolechowo guarantees a high level of security for the vehicles supplied, equipping them with, to name a few fire detection system, video monitoring both inside and outside the buses, and a closed-type driver's cab.

The vehicles delivered to DLA will not be the first buses from the Bolechowo-based factory to appear on the streets of Wroclaw. There are already over 60 of them in the capital of Lower Silesia; however, it will be the debut of the latest version of the Urbino model.
