PLANIUM AND AIRPORTS, THE METAL FOR SUGGESTIVE SCENARIOS
A "mantle" of Calamine laid on the floor covers the interior of an airport; the color of this particular Steel, much in demand on the market, especially by Architects, is on the notes of Aviation Blue and tends to Anthracite Gray, with marginal streaks of Magenta red that give it the character of a sunset. A chromatic setting that combines by contrast the light colors of the seats placed in the room, which echo the ocher color. In the background, an airplane taking off refers to an exotic and holiday script and at the same time to a cinematic imagery that has marked several generations, from International Hotel with Richard Burton to the famous Airport series up to the more recent The Terminal with Tom Hanks ...
For #planium, however, this is not just a Hollywood context: the brand has in fact laid its Embossed Steel and its Calamine on the floor in the two most important airports of the 20th century world Capital, New York City. To install his Embossed Steel on the floor it was used one of the innovative Dry Installation Systems, PL01 Invisible, which uses the “one-click” hooking system between tiles, specially equipped with the hooking clip and the laying plate.
As for the other airport, however, the Calamine slabs were made in an extra special format, created ad hoc for the project and with unique dimensions.
A bestseller dry installation system by #planium "paired" with Calamine - which is ferritic - is MG01 Magnetic Floor, equipped with a magnetic background that binds to the metal core contained in the finish (in the case of Calamine, the adhesion magnetic with this is instantaneous, without mediations).
