Autohaus Hedtke GmbH joins LEVC's growing dealer network in Germany

Ansty, 02 October 2020: #levc (London Electric Vehicle Company) continues its European network expansion with the appointment of #autohaushedtkegmbh in #weiterstadt, its sixth full sales and service dealer in Germany1.
Joerg Hofmann, #levc CEO, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Autohaus Hedtke GmbH to our growing network of dealers in Germany. Autohaus Hedtke GmbH, #weiterstadt is the first #levc authorised dealer in the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region, providing sales and aftersales support to customers in the surrounding areas. LEVC’s iconic British ‘black cab’ will be available in both Shuttle and #taxi variant and, from next Spring, its new electric #van, VN5, will join the product range. With many local businesses planning to implement ‘shuttle on demand’ services, #levc is a key partner, helping to drive #green mobility growth in the region.

The TX shuttle and TX #taxi models offer space, comfort and practicality, combined with environmental friendliness and a small turning circle, a trademark of the iconic London ‘black cab’ – ideal credentials for city transportation. With seating for six passengers and wheelchair accessibility, all travellers enjoy features such as air conditioning, charging facilities for smartphones and laptops and the TX’s generous panoramic roof. A purpose-built partition screen separates the driver and passenger compartments and, with contactless payment in the rear, easy to clean surfaces and an intercom system that allows driver and passenger to always communicate clearly, travellers are kept safe and protected.
Both models are powered by LEVC’s innovative eCity technology, allowing 93km of zero emissions driving and a total electrically driven range of over 484 km. Drivers can save more than €100 a week on fuel costs and more than 36,000 tonnes of CO2 has been saved from entering the atmosphere, based on current total TX’s in operation over a one year period.
Individuals and companies looking to purchase the TX can take advantage of a €3,750 environmental grant, due to the TX being included in the funding list of the Federal office for Economics and Export Control (BAFA).
From next Spring, LEVC’s new electric #van, VN5, will be launched in Europe. Operating in the one-tonne sector, VN5 shares the same bold, distinctive design and lightweight aluminium construction as TX, as well as its innovative eCity electric technology. This gives a zero emissions capable range of 61 miles (98km) and a total range of over 300 miles (484 km) and, with up to 5.5m capacity, VN5 cargo capacity easily accommodates two Euro sized pallets with a gross payload of 830kg.
The launch of VN5 will significantly widen the appeal in the commercial vehicle sector and LEVC’s export strategy is on track to support this major growth with plans to operate in 21 European countries by the end of 2021.
