Mercedes-Benz eActros accompanies Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour through Austria

Leinfelden-Echterdingen/ Eugendorf - The festive Coca-Cola Christmas truck is on the road again this year, touring all Austrian federal states from mid-November until shortly before Christmas. Coca-Cola Santa's Freightliner truck will, as always, be the center of attention. However, the highlight of this year's Christmas truck tour is the accompanying truck, which transports elements from the Christmas village: An all-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 with three battery packs and a range of up to 330 kilometers[1]. This year, the company is placing a special focus on resource efficiency and sustainability at its roadshow: "We want to bring emotional moments to people all over Austria, while keeping a close eye on our sustainability goals," emphasizes Philipp Bodzenta, company spokesman for Coca-Cola Austria. In addition to LED lamps, which reduce electricity consumption by up to 90% compared to conventional light bulbs, the company therefore relies on electric cars for the crew.
[1] The range was determined within the company under optimal conditions with 3 preconditioned battery modules for partially loaded distribution haulage without a trailer with a 4x2 axle configuration at an outside temperature of 20 °C.
